Career vouchers

How does it work?

You can follow career guidance with a career check.

To be eligible for the career check, you must meet the following conditions:

  • You have been working part-time or full-time as an employee or self-employed person for at least 1 year.

  • You have not followed any career guidance in the past 6 years.

  • You live in Flanders or Brussels.

  • Do you live in a country other than Belgium that belongs to the EU or the EEA? Then you are entitled to career guidance if you work in Flanders or Brussels.

  • If you live in Wallonia, you are entitled to career guidance if you work in Flanders or Brussels AND if you have moved from another country that belongs to the EU or the EEA.

  • You order a career check of 4 hours of career counseling from the VDAB via:

- online : via 'my career' on the vdab website (see attachment for more information): http://www.vdab.be/mijnloopbaan/default.shtml
- telephone : via the free number: 0800 30 700 (every working day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

After ordering the career check, you will receive a transfer (by post or email) within a few days to transfer € 40.
After receipt of this € 40, the career check will be sent to you by post or email .

Please keep in mind that this process can take several weeks. We therefore recommend that you order the career check as soon as possible.
The career check can be used at all mandated centers in Belgium and will be refunded if not used within 3 months.

After completion and registration of the first 4 hours of guidance, you can again request a 2nd career check of 3 hours through the same channels and the same method.
